Remedy for: Thirst
Cajun Tea
1.5 measures Cajun Spice Rum [Old New Orleans Rum Distillery]
0.5 measures Simple Syrup [or a pinch of sugar]
Black Tea
Fill a glass with ice. Add Cajun Spice Rum and Simple Syrup. Fill with Black Tea. Stir. Garnish with lemon slice.
Make your own simple syrup by gently warming sugar in a pot of water. To add flavor to the cocktail instead of only sweetening it, steep ginger in 1 cup water and add a tablespoon or two of sugar. Making your own simple syrup at home is extremely easy; Or you can just add a small amount of sugar to the tea as it’s steeping. Medicinal Mixology does not approve of dosing your cocktail with tons of sugar, so keep the cocktail healthy by adding a small amount of sweetener. No matter how you lightly sweeten this beverage, it’s a cocktail that disappears too quickly on a warm day in Nawlins.
Sweet tea is a Southern thing, y’all.
